Apex Restoration offers a comprehensive range of specialist survey services to assess the condition and performance of masonry on both historic and traditional buildings. These include basic ground-level masonry condition surveys, detailed surveys undertaken from elevated access, intrusive masonry investigations, material sample testing, masonry cleaning surveys, and thermographic surveys.
Each survey is supported by a detailed written report outlining the findings, identifying defects, and providing clear recommendations for repair. Reports also include proposed repair specifications and indicative budget costings to assist clients in planning and prioritising necessary works.
Where appropriate, Apex Restoration regularly liaises with local Conservation Officers on behalf of our clients to advise on likely heritage requirements and acceptable standards of repair, particularly when dealing with listed buildings or properties located within conservation areas. In many cases, these reports can also be used to support planning or listed building consent applications and to satisfy conditions set by local authorities.
